Captain John Leftwich was born in 1750 and died February 26, 1797 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia. It is not known when he moved from Virginia to Georgia. He served in the Revolutionary War. Research has revealed that he left several children, including one unborn, at the time of his death, including at least three sons. Descendants
